DESCRIPTION
Amid the open skies of West Texas, a chapter of Family Motor Coach Association, the Cotton Country Travelers was officially chartered May 27, 2004, with 31 member families. Sadly, because of health issues a number of our charter families are no longer with us. However, with excellent recruiting efforts by our members, the chapter is thriving with a current roster including 36 families. We are primarily based in Lubbock, Texas, but have members from Midland, Burleson, Abernathy, Chico, Aransas Pass, Mineral Wells, Kerrville, Ransom Canyon, and Slanton, Texas as well as Alto, NM. We enjoy the fellowship opportunities afforded by chapter membership and meet eight times a year for a social and on a quarterly basis attend a rally at various locations throughout Texas and New Mexico. In addition, we have journeyed as a group to Six-State rallies and FMCA International Conventions. Rally sites through our five and a half years of existence have included places like Fredericksburg, Kerrville, Amarillo, San Angelo, Ruidoso, and other points of interest. We enjoy visiting local attractions, shopping, and sight-seeing. In addition, many of our members find various board and card games very interesting as well as competitive. Cotton Country Travelers is a welcoming, fun group, and we are always happy to meet new friends who enjoy this wonderful RV lifestyle. Whether you're looking for a chapter to join or just a visit as you travel, we would welcome you.
